Village renewal
In August 2018, the village renewal started in Steinbach am Glan with a kick-off event. It was first explained what a village renewal is and how you can contribute. In the context of this event the following working groups were formed:
- Digital
- Internal Development
- Tourism
- Senior Citizens
- Playground / Youth
The working groups are open to all interested and guests.

What is the village renewal?
The main goal of the village renewal is to preserve and develop, as well as to preserve the individual character of the village with its townscape.
With regard to the currently prevailing and expected future conditions, a constant examination of the further development of the villages and communities is indispensable. It is therefore all the more important to consolidate the ideas and concepts that have already been developed and to adapt them to the current challenges (demographic change, internal development, ensuring basic services, etc.) An important factor here is the active granting of citizenship across all age groups.
The Rhineland-Palatinate Village Renewal Program offers a wide range of funding options for the implementation of innovative and also location-oriented projects. Also, private measures benefit greatly from public projects.
